Job Description
• Act as the strategic purchasing interface for sales, development, quality management, controlling, project management, and production departments regarding all RFQ matters.
• Contribute to the development of competitive project/RFQ strategic purchasing concepts and support the implementation of these concepts.
• Support the achievement of material cost targets and ensure that purchasing side business plan specifications are met over the entire project lifecycle.
• Provide input to boost LEONI's Bill of Materials (BOM) competitiveness and improve the RFQ hit rate/order in take, with a focus on strategy, pricing, timing, and quality.
• Conduct structured lost business analyses with a focus on BOM topics and transfer the findings into actionable lessons learned.
• Define improvement measures in cooperation with the CTO unit VAVE and take responsibility for their implementation on the purchasing side.
• Implement strategic purchasing strategies and category strategies for assigned customer RFQs and projects.
• Represent Strategic Purchasing in project kickoff meetings, project review meetings, Business Plan review meetings, and Project Risk Assessments.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience in strategic purchasing, RFQ processes, and cost optimization within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to manage projects end-to-end, including planning, risk assessment, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring alignment with business plan objectives.
- Communication skills for effective interaction with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Capability to develop competitive purchasing concepts, implement category strategies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Advanced skills in the MS Office Suite and proficiency with ERP/purchasing systems and BOM management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, facilitating collaboration, and representing strategic purchasing interests in key project meetings.
- English at least level B2.

Basic gross guaranteed salary: from 1800 EUR/Brutto +13th salary The final basic wage component will be adjusted to individual skills and experience of selected candidate.
