Job Description

Join LEONI’s quality team and take an active role in shaping customer satisfaction and product excellence throughout the entire project lifecycle.

As a Customer Quality Engineer for Projects, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring quality standards across development projects, ensuring customer requirements are met from concept to launch.

You will act as the key quality interface between LEONI and our customers, supporting the development team with advanced quality planning, process implementation, and product validation.

Take the lead on quality-related topics, contribute to strategic planning, and help us deliver high-performance solutions in the automotive industry.

What will be your responsibilities?

  • Implementation of quality standards in assigned projects (e.g. processes, methods, tool requirements)
  • Analysis and evaluation of customer-specific requirements, acting as the main quality interface with the customer
  • Support of development in quality planning and customer standards, including participation in RFQs, APQP preparation and follow-up, quality input for D-FMEA, and monitoring of component release status.
  • Preparation and agreement of sampling documentation, timelines, and requirements with the customer
  • Acting as Core Team Member for product quality and key interface for all quality matters, including participation in customer visits/audits and supplier audits if required
  • Escalation of major project quality issues to project management and the QM organization during project phases
  • Monitoring of compliance with relevant LEONI requirements
  • Reporting and monitoring of KPIs according to department standards (sampling of individual parts, customer sampling)
  • Participation in project reviews and monitoring of product quality at customer/LEONI locations during project phases; preparation and follow-up of APQP for design changes in serial life 
  • Support to CQM Residents when needed

Qualifications and Experience

What do we expect from you?

  • Education in quality, engineering or a comparable field
  • Experience in quality or project management within the automotive industry or similar manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of APQP, FMEA (D-FMEA, P-FMEA), Control Plan, and other quality tools and methods
  • Understanding of customer-specific quality standards and requirements
  • Ability to analyse customer requirements and translate them into technical and process-oriented solutions
  • Experience with product lifecycle processes and familiarity with PLM tools is an advantage
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills, structured and proactive way of working
  • Fluent spoken and written English is required; French is strongly preferred due to regular communication with French-speaking customer

Basic gross guaranteed salary: from 1700 EUR/Brutto + 13th salary The final basic wage component will be adjusted to individual skills and experience of selected candidate.
