Job Description

Join LEONI’s quality team and take an active role in shaping customer satisfaction and product excellence throughout the entire project lifecycle.

As a Customer Quality Engineer for Projects, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring quality standards across development projects, ensuring customer requirements are met from concept to launch.

You will act as the key quality interface between LEONI and our customers, supporting the development team with advanced quality planning, process implementation, and product validation.

Take the lead on quality-related topics, contribute to strategic planning, and help us deliver high-performance solutions in the automotive industry.

What will be your responsibilities?

  • Implementation of quality standards in assigned projects (e.g. processes, methods, tool requirements)
  • Analysis and evaluation of customer-specific requirements, acting as the main quality interface with the customer
  • Support for project and development teams in terms of quality planning and adherence to customer standards – including participation in RFQs, APQP coordination, quality input for D-FMEAs, and release tracking
  • Preparation and agreement of sampling documentation, timelines, and requirements with the customer
  • Active participation in P-FMEA and control plan creation; presence at customer visits, audits, and supplier audits if needed
  • Escalation of major project quality issues to project management and the Quality Management organization
  • Monitoring of compliance with internal LEONI requirements and reporting of KPIs
  • Participation in internal and customer project reviews
  • Monitoring of product quality at customer sites and within LEONI during the project phase

Qualifications and Experience

What do we expect from you?

  • Education in quality, engineering or a comparable field
  • Experience in quality or project management within the automotive industry or similar manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of APQP, FMEA (D-FMEA, P-FMEA), Control Plan, and other quality tools and methods
  • Understanding of customer-specific quality standards and requirements
  • Ability to analyse customer requirements and translate them into technical and process-oriented solutions
  • Experience with product lifecycle processes and familiarity with PLM tools is an advantage
  • Good organisational and problem-solving skills, structured and proactive way of working
  • Fluent spoken and written English skills, German is an advantage

Basic gross guaranteed salary: from EUR/Brutto +13th salary The final basic wage component will be adjusted to individual skills and experience of selected candidate.
